2. Agra Fort :-
The construction work of the Agra Fort in Agra started in the year 1156 and was finally finished in the year of 1605. This huge fort is spread over an area of around 2.5 kilometres. Made of red sandstone, the fort is situated on the banks of River Yamuna. The grand architecture of the fort will simply leave you awestruck. Constructed in a semi circle plane, the fort consists of massive walls that rise up to a height of 70 feet. There are also massive bastions which are located all over the structure of the fort.
There are more than 500 buildings inside the Agra Fort, Agra. The buildings and monuments are fine specimens of the Mughal and Persian style of architecture. Some of the buildings also have style and designs of the states of Gujarat and Bengal. There are also plenty of Hindu and Islamic architectural designs.
